Former Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant (DOE land) plus private land in Pike County. SB Energy builds, owns and operates it on a 20-year lease to OpenAI; NVIDIA backs the initial 4.25 IT-GW and holds an option on the remaining 3.75 IT-GW. At least 10 GW of new generation (9.2 GW gas) is planned. Capacity due in phases from 2028.
Current and planned figures may use different power bases. Planned power is the end state, not additional capacity to add to the current figure. An unspecified basis remains unknown. A figure marked est rests on at least one source other than the operator’s own announcement.
